Boo-Boo Bunny

"Look at Boo-Boo!" cried Rabbit. "She is the best bareback rider anywhere!"
"She looks like a show-off to me," said Hare.

"You have not even met Boo-B00 yet, but you act as if you don't like her," said Rabbit.
At last, Hare said," I don't like her
because you like her so much.

I'm afraid you like her better than me."
Rabbit gave Hare a big hug.

"No one could ever take your place, Hare," said Rabbit.

HARE AND RABBIT, FRIENDS FOREVER

CELEBRATE FRIENDSHIP AT ITS BEST!

Rabbit is quick thinking; Hare is thoughtful. Rabbit is practical; Hare is artistic. These different personalities really capture the ups and downs of friendship--come what may.

They survive cleaning house, the jealousy that accompanies the arrival of an old friend, and a little mind reading on both of their parts when Rabbit pulls a mind-reader ring out of a cereal box. The two bring a warm, funny, and female approach to the problems they face.
The pictures clue young readers very well, and the stories, though simply told for grades 1-2, are interestingly complex and age appropriate.

Cleaning House

"We do not need these old newspapers,"
said Rabbit. "And we do not need boots with holes in them, either."
Rabbit threw them all out the door.
